This building is pioneer in the application of the technological concept of “smart building”. The emergency stairway constitutes a singular element in the architectural design, made of steel and aluminium. The stair flights run around the service lift shaft and the air and fume ducts up to the roof of the building.
The building envelope composition combines anodized aluminium, copper and pink rosa Parsol glass panels inserted in roof, wall and floor units. This technological concept has its origin in NYC, where smart buildings were built in the Big Apple during the last third of the twentieth century.
